About this route

Chandigarh International Airport (IXC) is the main flight gateway for Himachal Pradesh, with direct and connecting flights from Mumbai and Pune. Many of our guests start their holiday here, and a pre-booked transfer means your car and driver are waiting when you walk out of arrivals.

The airport is on the southern edge of the city, near Mohali and Zirakpur. Transfers to hotels in Chandigarh, Mohali or Panchkula usually take around 30–45 minutes. For Shimla, the drive is roughly 3.5–4.5 hours via Parwanoo and Solan. For Manali, plan for roughly 8–10 hours via Kiratpur, Mandi and Kullu, which is a full day of mountain driving.

Timing your transfer

If you land in the morning, heading straight to Shimla or Manali is comfortable. For Manali, an afternoon or evening landing usually means an overnight stay in Chandigarh first, since we prefer guests to cover the Beas gorge in daylight. We can suggest a sensible plan based on your flight time.

Seasonal notes

Winter fog can occasionally delay flights at Chandigarh in December and January, and the monsoon can slow hill roads. Our team tracks your flight so the driver adjusts to delays, and we stay in touch if the road ahead needs a change of plan.
